Marketing + Branding Strategist, Designer, Educator

Meet Sianne | Marketing & Branding Strategist, Designer and Educator based in South Florida Photo by: Sweet Memories Photography

As most of us, I am many things. I am a wife, a runner turned leisure jogger, a yogi, an avid DIYer with a love for entertaining {who not-so-secretly hopes one day to have a husband and wife HGTV show, ha!}, I am a marketing + branding strategist, a self taught designer, and an educator. I’m Sianne and I’m so glad you’re here!

I believe in progress over perfection, community over competition, and living a balanced life. All things I am not perfect at, but continue to work on.

Life is a journey, one that very rarely goes as planned. And if we are lucky enough, we go down the path less traveled and create our own unique story along the way. Mine goes a little something like this:

  • Met my husband on the first day of college running for the University of North Florida (boy meets girl, girl meets boy, the rest is history)
  • Running career ends early due to back and hip issues (I still suffer from hip and back issues, but yoga is my saving grace!)
  • Immediately upon ending my running career, found an internship in my field of marketing while still in college
  • Internship turned full time role before getting my degree, working full time while going to college and sitting as president and events chair for two student organizations
  • Worked in this marketing role for 4 years managing client events, internal communications and marketing to C-level executives in this B2B IT organization
  • At some point during my time at the IT company, Simply Sianne was born, with the intention of being an event planning and design company (the intention was never for weddings!)
  • Somewhere along the way it was too hard trying to start a business and continue to grow in my career, Simply Sianne turned into a blog about events
  • Then Simply Sianne turned into a blog about home renovations
  • Left this in-house marketing role to try my hand as an Account Executive at an ad agency
  • Got to work on cool clients like the Jacksonville Jaguars and Bi-Lo / Winn-Dixie
  • Got engaged!
  • 9 short months later, it was time to move on from agency life
  • Started working with Megan Martin Creative, helping streamline and implement improved processes into her business, introducing me to the awesome world of creative entrepreneurs!
  • I also assisted with day of wedding coordination – confirming my early thoughts of not wanting to become a wedding planner!
  • Started freelancing doing website design, marketing and branding work for clients as well as business consulting for a major Fortune 500 company
  • Simply Sianne started to become more of a lifestyle blog, and I was blogging more!
  • Got a job in South Florida as a marketing manager for a lighting retail company
  • Moved down in a weekend, Michael followed 3 months later
  • We got married!
  • Continued to blog more, with more of an emphasis on lifestyle, fashion and food
  • Met some awesome creatives, who I now call friends, through the Rising Tide Society
  • Was asked to speak at a few Rising Tide meetings about social media marketing, content marketing, and blogging
  • The Blogging Workshop idea was born
  • Whispered to Michael that I felt like Simply Sianne should focus on helping other creative entrepreneurs with marketing
  • Just after that whisper, my first client reached out to me asking for my services
  • Then client 2, 3 and 4 followed
  • Launched the first Blogging Workshop course!
  • I am on the right path, this is what I am called to do
  • I’m currently on the road to full time in my business, marketing manager by day, creative business owner by night

Our stories never go as we might think, but if there’s one thing I have learned so far, is if you listen, you’ll hear the whispers along the way, you will you are being set you up for your true calling and when you look back, you’ll see the signs were there all along. Simply Sianne was born 5 years ago, allowing me to learn, experiment and truly identify my purpose. My purpose is to help you, the creative entrepreneur, bring your vision to life, help you strategize how to grow your business and lean into your tribe.
