Valentine’s Day Sweet Treats

I love when Mike and I are able to spend quality time together enjoying a bike ride, eating a sweet treat, taking a stroll through the park and going to a good restaurant. But I don’t love when places are so busy you can’t truly enjoy each other’s company. So, instead of going out on Valentine’s Day, we like to celebrate by staying in, drinking wine and spending the evening in the kitchen cooking (okay, mike does the cooking, while I bake) together.

Since my love for sweets is almost the same for my hubby, I’m sharing a few Valentine’s Day sweet treats for you and your love to do together! This soft and romantic setup is the perfect end to date night.

Most of this sweet treat setup was created with Dollar Spot Target finds! Hand lettering multiple napkins to share fun sayings with my love. Recreate this sweet treat setup for your valentine by shopping the items below:

  • Ceramic Cake Stand: $5 at Target Dollar Spot
  • Milk Bottles: $3 at Target Dollar Spot
  • Flower Vase (aka white coffee mug): here
  • Paper Napkins (lettering not included): here
  • Paper straws: here

As part of our yearly Valentine’s Day tradition, we make the classic out-of-the-box Devil’s Food Cake, this my favorite one. We love to pair these yummy cupcakes with strawberries, especially after they’ve been dipped in white chocolate! And since we I was having so much fun with the chocolate, we decided to go a little crazy and dip pretzels, strawberries and even oreos in the white chocolate. Yes – a lot of sugar was consumed in the making of this post!

What do you have planned for your sweetie?!
