When life doesn’t go according to plan (ahem, when does it ever?!) and the entire family has a free day, what do you do? Make it a family day and drive down to Miami for the best Dim Sum around, then head over to the new Jimmy Buffet Margaritaville Beach Resort in Hollywood, that’s what!
After filing our bellies with ah-mazing Chinese Dim Sum (I’m telling you, you must experience this the next time you’re in Miami!), we headed over to the land of margaritas! Before moving on, I’ll answer the question I know you’re thinking… “WTH is dim sum?” Picture this: a place where as soon as you sit down you are greeted with carts and no just any old carts, carts of food! Carts that you can simply point to and say yes, I’ll have that, that and yes, I want that too! Dim Sum essentially means a little of this and a little of that, very similar to tapas style dining. Whether you’re skeptical of what I just described or totally on board, just do me a favor and experience this when you get the chance, it won’t disappoint!
It may not have been 5 o’clock yet, but it was 5 o’clock somewhere!
Prior to arriving to Jimmy Buffet’s beach resort, I was expecting the typical Margaritaville vibe, with bright, loud colors and over the top island decor we all know and love that is Jimmy Buffet. However, it wasn’t anything like what I expected. We entered a cool, calming, eclectic space that had touches of relaxed Bahamian flair and I loved it! 
The adorable margarita glass chandelier, the rope benches and the abundance of palm trees made this a magical, Bahamian escape right in our own backyard! 
Sipping a few drinks, walking the board walk and trying to keep it cool with ice cream, I was rockin’ my new #nsale finds (both under $60!). I love the pairing of these breezy, retro shorts and this sophisticated double layer tank for a fun day around town! The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale ends Monday, August 8, so you better hurry if you want to grab these awesome pieces!
I so welcomed this day with my family, I loved spending time with them, especially this woman right here, my best friend and amazing mama! Will.i.am has it right…. I got it from my mama… all of it!
