A few weeks ago while in Dallas I did some exploring around beautiful downtown and found Dallas to be an art-centric, lively city, with lots of good food!
After visiting this city four times over the past two years to attend the home decor and lighting market at Dallas Market Center, I finally squeezed in some free time to see what Dallas has to offer.
Top 4 Restaurants in Dallas
Lark on the Park
I loved the atmosphere of Lark on the Park! Right across the street from Klyde Warren Park, this Dallas restaurant somehow balances an urban, comteporary feel with a sweet, neighborhood charm. Aside from the food being delicious, Lark on the Park boosts local creative talent with hand drawn chalk images throughout the entire restuarant. I fell in love immediately.
Steel Restaurant & Lounge
If you love seafood and Asian cuisine, then this is a must when visiting Dallas! With a contemporary lounge-like atmosphere and an amazing wine selection, Steel is perfect for a date with bae or happy hour with friends. My fave is the Chilean Sea Bass, it’s marinated in miso and sake and is seriously so good!
Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen
Another seafood restaurant to try in Dallas is Pappadeaux they has a large selection to choose from. From surf and turf to baked crab mac & cheese (um, this is delicious!) to ahi tuna and lobster the list goes on. Although they have Chilean Sea Bass here, I prefer it at Steel because of the miso glaze, the one at Pappadeaux is way more decadent with crab on top.
Wild Salsa Mexican Restaurant
One thing I haven’t really been able to find in south Florida is a good baja Mexican restaurant, and while in Dallas we made our way to Wild Salsa and that made me pretty happy! Starting off with a Sangria-rita (Sangria + Tequila), I knew I was at a good place. Their tacos were delish, the braised lamb shank tacos are definetly are must-try and the drinks were fantastic! Overall, Wild Salsa had a fun, lively vibe, just what you would expect in a Mexican restaurant.
