I know, I know, Halloween just ended and we’re only a few days into November, but we already had our holiday photos taken as a family. Between our trip to Italy quickly approaching and how fast this time of year seems to go, we decided to plan ahead. And I am so glad we did! Last weekend, we took our holiday family photos, allowing us to order holiday cards before heading across the pond for our Italian adventure!
CAPTURING THE MOMENT
Traditionally, we have not been the best with capturing photos of our little family. The hubs and I have been together for 9 years and our little guy has been around for 8, but this is the first time we have family photos of all three of us. I love, I mean LOVE, how these photos turned out, it has both of my guys in one beautiful picture, why did we wait so long?!
Well, as much as we may love and are biased about our little man, Miles is not the easiest to work with in public places. He does somehow always surprise us, but the thought of coordinating photos with him just seemed down right daunting (I can’t even imagine what its like for all you mamas out there!)
We had to tucker Miles out before we arrived (and we may have slipped him a “chill” pill) to ensure he was calm during the photos. Although we slipped him a little chill pill, we didn’t do it far enough in advance, so he was still pretty hyper during the shoot.
Omigosh! I absolutely love this photo of our cutie! Our beautiful photographer, Naomi from Sweet Memories Photography is ahhh-mazing with animals, she was able to capture his attention, and show off his puppy-like personality in the photos.
Although I was concerned about bringing Miles to the park for these pictures, Naomi gave me some tips to make it go smooth. She even has a whole list of tips and tricks to reference when planning family photos.
